Empower Erie Board Members

Empower Erie is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. The goal of Empower Erie is to establish a Community College in Erie County as a way to improve the overall educational attainment and household income of Erie County Residents, meet employer’s current and future needs for skilled workers, make Erie a more attractive place for businesses, and create more family sustaining jobs.

Our volunteer Board of Directors is comprised of a dedicated team, with unique expertise and experience, to support the establishment of a Community College in Erie County.

Tim McNair specializes in the representation of individuals in civil, workers' compensation, and employment litigation. He also manages the representation of businesses and individuals in real estate transactions, organization, land use, and collection matters, as well as estate settlements.

From 2002 to the present, Tim has served as the Parliamentarian for the Erie County Democratic Party. Desiring to be of service to less fortunate neighbors in the community, Tim has served as a Board Member and President of the Community Outreach Group, Inc. since 2001.

Tim is active in several professional organizations including the Pennsylvania Bar Association (Workers' Compensation and Civil Litigation Sections), the Erie County Bar Association (Workers' Compensation Committee, Chair, 2002; Legislative Affairs Committee, Chair, 2004, Civil Rules Committee), the American Association for Justice (Admiralty, Civil Rights, Employment and Workplace Injury Sections), and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association (Member, Board of Governors, 1995 – Present, Workers' Compensation Section, Chair 2003 – 2004, Amicus Curiae Committee, Legislative Affairs Committee, Auto Law Section).
